Gatlin Marks, DMD

Dr. Marks is amazing, on my first visit with him I was made aware of a serious issue with my teeth that my previous dentist had never picked up on, and we were able to address it right away. I’ve never had this high quality of care with my previous dental providers.

Dr. Gatlin Marks is a friendly and dedicated general dentist from Salt Lake City, Utah. He started his dental career working as an orthodontic assistant for 10 years. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah in Exercise and Sport Science. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Roseman University of Health Sciences with honors; including “Roseman Excellence in Endodontics Award” and “AAOMS – outstanding achievements and performance in undergraduate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery”. Dr. Marks is a proud member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Academy of LDS Dentists, and the Utah Dental Association (UDA). He has great respect for his profession and spends countless hours studying, taking continuing education courses and applying the advances of dentistry. He strives for perfection in all he does. Although he loves many facets of dentistry, Dr. Marks most enjoys getting to know his patients. To him, the heart of patient care is taking a personalized approach because each patient and their smile is special. Whether a patient’s concern is cosmetic, restorative, or a dental emergency, he creates a genuine connection with his patients and provides them with the excellent, individualized care they need. When Dr. Marks is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife Ellie, and daughter Quincy. They love to travel, hike, ski, and try new foods together!

Margaret Olinto, DDS

Maggie is a really cool dentist, im super grateful to live close and that I found her. I am always uncomfortable with going to the dentist but with Maggie I was at ease. Everything just felt right. Would recommend.

Dr. Maggie Olinto grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before moving to Jacksonville, Florida when she was in high school. She graduated with honors from Florida State University with a degree in Chemical Science and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Roseman University College of Dental Medicine where she graduated with honors and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honors society. After moving to Utah with her husband for dental school, she fell in love with everything that Utah has to offer and has been here ever since. Dr. Olinto is committed to delivering high-quality clinical care while treating every patient with compassion and empathy. Going to the dentist can be an uncomfortable experience for a lot of people, but Dr. Olinto feels very passionate about making her patients feel as comfortable as possible in her hands. Dr. Olinto enjoys spending her free time reading, crocheting, or spending time out in nature hiking, camping, or having a picnic at the park with her husband and dog.

Austin Emery, DMD

Fantastic staff! Extremely thorough. Dr. Emery was great and super friendly! I’ll be bringing my son to see them soon as well!

Dr. Emery is from Taylorsville, Utah. He lived in Memphis, Tennessee for two years after high school to serve a church mission. He has been married to his wife, Devin, for 8 years and currently lives in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Dr. Emery has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from BYU and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Roseman University of Health Sciences. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Academy of LDS Dentists. Dr. Emery enjoys playing sports, including softball, basketball, and golf. He also loves hiking, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and extended family. During baseball season, you’ll find him rooting for the Houston Astros. Dr. Emery is a member of the hole-in-one club, and even though his golf game may not be great, he reminds everyone of his merit. Dr. Emery loves the people of Utah Valley and is excited to be with and serve in this community!

Dr. Luis Franco - Endodontist

I had a retreat root canal done yesterday, and have had zero pain afterward. Dr. Franco has the nicest bedside manner and has the greatest skills to go along with kindness. I highly recommend using him for your endodontics!

Dr. Franco is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an officer. He received his degree in Flight Operations from Westminster College, DDS from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Endodontics at Boston University. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association. Dr. Franco has a passion for educating others about patient care and the incredibly interesting world of endodontics. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, swimming and learning how to play the piano and electric guitar.

Dr. Blake Porter - Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon

I recently visited the office to see Dr. Porter for oral surgery and had a great experience. He could tell I was nervous, but he was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I would highly recommend Dr. Porter!

Dr. Porter earned his degrees from the University of Iowa Dental School and A.T. Still University. He specialized in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, and has been providing exceptional care since 2018. Dr. Porter is affiliated with the ADA and AAOMS and is dedicated to delivering pain-free experiences. His goal is to provide excellent dental care that leaves his patients confident in their smiles. Apart from his professional achievements, Dr. Porter is a devoted family man, married with four children. He enjoys sushi dates with his wife, fishing, movie nights, and snowboarding with his family. He also enjoys reading Brandon Sanderson’s works, specifically the Stormlight Archive, and cheering for the KC Chiefs. Dr. Porter volunteers with Smiles for Central America and Give Kids a Smile, and has won awards including the Eagle Scout Award and the OKU Award for Dental Excellence. Dr. Porter combines professional excellence with a commitment to family and community, bringing a holistic approach to dentistry.

Dr. Robert Swenson - Periodontist

Seeing a dentist is rarely at the top of the list of fun things to do. Dr Swenson and his staff may not have put it on the top of the list but they definitely helped move it up several notches. They were professional, competent and friendly. Highly recommend him if you are looking for a good Periodontist.

Dr. Swenson grew up in Utah County, he attended Pleasant Grove and Mountain View high schools. After high school he served a mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in France and Switzerland. After his mission, Dr. Swenson attended BYU and earned a B.S. degree in Biochemistry. Dr. Swenson later moved to Richmond, Virginia to attend VCU dental school. While there he met his wife, Andrea, as she returned from her mission in Colorado. They were married in the Washington, DC temple. Dr. Swenson graduated from Dental school in 2015 with his DDS degree, honors from Quintessence Publications for his research in Oral Cancer, and honors from the American Academy of Periodontology for his work in Periodontics.

Dr. Brandon Williams - Orthodontist

Brandon H. Williams, DDS, is a retired US Air Force Colonel. He served four years as a General Dentist and an additional 17 years as an Orthodontist in the USAF Dental Corps.Originally from Alamosa, CO, Dr. Williams graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998 and earned his DDS from Case Western Reserve University in 2002. With an ardent passion for orthodontics, he has treated thousands of patients, catalyzing transformative changes in their smiles and bolstering their confidence.Dr. Williams provides a diverse array of services, ranging from braces, clear aligners, and palatal expansion to orthognathic surgeries.Beyond the realm of dentistry, he finds joy in spending quality time with his family and embarking on journeys of exploration through travel.
